I particularly like the Phra Somdej Phrokbo Yai because of the immaculate condition and texture. If you were to refer to a good Phra Somdej Wat Rakang collections references. You can spot many similarities with them.
This phim is of ‘taeg lai nga’ or means broken/cracked ivory pattern. And it fulfills what we call 3 ‘Y’s; namely Yark (rough surfaced), Yaep ( cracks) and Yaek ( cracks within cracks ). This is a good piece where you can tell the difference between man made cracks and natural cracks. Natural cracks are not homogeneous because it doesn’t crack all at the same time.
